Description

An eight-hour workshop offered in four parts to help facilities prepare for their first accreditation assessment event, or to prepare for a re-assessment.

Topics covered include:

• Working with your Accreditation Canada Staff Technologist and our electronic tools.
• A comprehensive look at the accreditation requirements (including quality management systems and people-centred care).
• Conducting your own readiness checks, preassessment submissions.
• What to expect on the assessment days.
• Responding to your assessment report and maintaining accreditation.

It is intended for leaders or directors of a medical laboratory or diagnostic medicine service who want to elevate their quality management system.

The sessions will be interactive, relevant, and practical. You will leave us with tools, tips and invaluable insight about the accreditation process.

Delivery

The course is designed and delivered by an expert trainer from AC Diagnostics. Delivery techniques will utilize interesting and relevant case studies, combined with engaging exercises that will draw upon those years of experience. All materials will be provided in electronic form.

Optional Exam

A one-hour, multiple-choice exam can be completed electronically following the course. Participants are required to indicate interest in the exam on registration. Certificates for individuals choosing this option will indicate successful completion of the exam. All other participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
