Course Completion
A six-hour seminar, offered in three parts on the art of conducting an effective, non-punitive process for the investigation of non-conformities. The class will provide a single fundamental approach for responding to safety incidents, complaints, patient occurrences/near misses, proficiency testing discordant findings, and accreditation findings. The goal is to ensure the process is systematic and consistent, and ultimately leads to improvements and mitigation of risk.
Participants will return to their workplace with valuable templates, tools, and tips to create an effective process for responding to all opportunities for improvement needed for a laboratory or diagnostic imaging service. All information will be aligned to the Accreditation Canada Diagnostics Accreditation Requirements and the ISO 15189 Standard.
Delivery
The course is designed and delivered by an expert trainer from AC Diagnostics. Delivery techniques will utilize interesting and relevant case studies, combined with engaging exercises that will draw upon those years of experience. All materials will be provided in electronic form.
A one-hour, multiple-choice exam can be completed electronically following the course. Participants are required to indicate interest in the exam on registration. Certificates for individuals choosing this option will indicate successful completion of the exam. All other participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
