From October 23 –27, Accreditation Canada (AC) Diagnostics recognizes Canadian Patient Safety Week to inspire improvements in health care safety and quality. Healthcare Excellence Canada collaborates with patients and partners, and leads this annual campaign to advance improvements and changes to enable everyone in Canada to have safe, effective, and high-quality health care.

This year’s theme, Small Changes. Big Impact. Safer Care, focuses on creating a larger impact to deliver care, whether the change is as small as a quick discussion or fostering a curious mindset, exploring new approaches can improve safety for all.

Together with Healthcare Excellence Canada, AC Diagnostics understands the importance of how small things can have a big impact when it comes to safer care. That is why the accreditation programs encourage an environment of continuous quality improvement, so that organizations offering services such as medical laboratory testing, diagnostic imaging, and echocardiography are providing reliable and quality care to all. Our Diagnostic Assessment Programs require standardized processes and procedures that drive continuous improvements, reduce risks, and ensure test results are reliable and accurate.
