Accreditation Canada Diagnostics (AC Diagnostics) is pleased to announce that Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital (CPDMH) has achieved accreditation for its echocardiography services through the AC Diagnostics Echocardiography Quality Improvement (EQI) Program.

This accreditation recognizes CPDMH’s Echocardiography department for meeting national standards for transthoracic echocardiography, a non-invasive ultrasound examination used to assess the structure and function of the heart. Transthoracic echocardiography is a critical diagnostic tool in the detection, diagnosis, and management of a wide range of cardiac conditions and is among the most frequently performed cardiac tests in community hospitals.
