University Hospital’s Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Centre is committed to provide clinicians and patients with high-quality services demonstrated by their recent achievement of ISO 15189 Plus™ accreditation. Located on the Macau University of Science and Technology campus at the Cotai area, University Hospital is the only medical system in Macau that combines clinical, teaching, and research support. Well-equipped with advanced laboratory instrumentation, the laboratory provides clinical testing service in clinical biochemistry, immunology, hematology, serology of infection, medical microbiology, and blood banking and transfusion. Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Centre has a long-standing history of excellence proven through its accreditation with the National Association of Testing Authorities (NATA) of Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) since 2008. 

In 2021, the facility chose Accreditation Canada Diagnostics as their accreditation body, and after a rigorous assessment, they were awarded with ISO 15189 Plus™ accreditation in October 2023 for tests within their biochemistry, hematology, and virology  departments.

The Clinical Laboratory Diagnostic Centre of University Hospital remains one of the few internationally accredited medical laboratories in Macau. 

This achievement is a testament to the hard work of the facility's team in meeting the Accreditation Canada Diagnostics requirements. It is a signal to patients and staff of the laboratory’s commitment to quality and underscores their commitment to upholding the highest standards and enhancing public confidence in the services they provide to advance safer care for all.
